Back @ Melbourne

Time passes very quickly and here I am, back in the not-so-sunny-Australia (winter's here!) I didn't wanna go for class today as I was having a migraine, but due to unforseen circumstances, I ended up in Uni, but 2 hours late. Better there than not!

When I reached Uni, upon seeing my pale face, my lecturer came to me and asked, "are you ok? if not you can go back." In my heart I was thinking, "you said it was better to come! otherwise I would've stayed at home and rest!" Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Anyway, let's go to another topic, "My time in Singapore!"

Time in Singapore was well spent, I spent most of my outside of my house that I didn't have much time to spend with my dad! Grrr. And this lousy daughter of his didn't know that he was flying back to China on Sunday afternoon... (I thought it was at night. ='( )

Anyway, I managed to eat ...
1. Chwee Kueh
2. Soon Kueh
3. Chicken Rice
4. Char Siew and Roast Pork Rice
5. Carrot Cake
6. Prawn Noodles (Soup)
7. Soya Beancurd

Yeah, only 7 items, but I'm happy that I've managed to eat so many things in 4 days! WOOHOO!

Ok, now, about the wedding, I'm kinda lazy to type so much, so let the pictures do the talking!

Aunt Jac helping Abula to put on the veil

And I thought brides were supposed to be full of poise!

Look at this! She really looks like a bird... HAHAHAHA!

Awwwwww, my cousin's getting married! *sniff sniff*

All the sisters (consisting of 3 cousins and 5 high sch friends)

The cousins!

The sisters! We're sooooo bad when it comes to torturing the groom! =p

And finally he arrives, after being 15 mins late! So we only had 30 mins to torture him as we had to leave by 10am.

This is one of our gate crashing games. To wax their leg hairs! Other than that, there's also...
1. Using the ice cubes to transfer from the left ankle to right ankle (through the pants)
2. Answering 5 questions, wrong answers have to eat bittergourd! =p
3. Using the facial expressions to move the potato chips from his forehead to his mouth and eat it!
4. Wax wax wax ...
5. Appying lipstick and has to kiss all his "brothers" at specific parts of the face and neck
6. Hand make a ring with nylon and beads for Abula
7. Licking or eating the ice cube of coke in a shape of a cup with the key to the door in the middle of the cube

And finally, he got in with the key... =)

Awwwwww, what a touching sight!

Presenting the sisters and brothers with the bride and groom!

Nice ride! Antique car that costs S$80,000 if I'm not wrong.

Here comes to bride! Look at her dress! So arty farty!

On their wedding bed....

A present from the groom's bro-in-law. So nice! How I wish I would get something like that for my wedding too!

Sisters with bride and groom. She changed to the chinese traditional costume.

I love my cousin!

Family during the ROM ceremony

I do, I do, kiss, wears the ring.
I now pronounce you, husband and wife.

Guess my parents can't wait to be grandparents! HAHA! But sorry, you'll have to wait.

Receptionistssssss
Look at the birdcage? Ain't it pretty? Abula's idea of course. Her theme's furs and feathers. The birdcage is her red packet "box" and the sisters are wearing fur bands around the arm. Brothers got a feather brooch.

She spoilt the picture. Poise April, POISE!

The-high-but-denying-that-he's-high cousin and I. I had to half squat as he complained I was too tall! GRRRRR

Kunies!

The CHIA clan. WOOHOO!

Normal

Crazy

*Loves*

That's the end of it. Overall, I had a great time in Singapore. Goodbye to Singapore for now, I'll seeya in November. =)

Back in Singapore

After so many hours of torture in the plane, I'm finally home. I was so excited while on the way out of the aircraft. However, the warm and humid air greeted me the moment my foot landed outside of the plane, and that made me super uncomfortable. IT WAS SO WARM!

Ok, enough of the I-hate-the-hot-air-in-Singapore thingy. Despite me feeling super irritated because it was so warm, I went to Geylang for SUPPER! Before that we headed to Bedok Interchange to buy my forever-craving-soon-kueh. I saw chwee kueh too! So I bought 6 of them. =p

Then headed to Geylang for "Yu Tiao Da Wang". *SLUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURP* Nothing's better than Singapore's food. Enough of Italian and Hong Kong food. YUCKS. Nothing's my favourite in Melbourne (other than chocolate and potato chips).

But I think I better cut down on my intake. I was happy when Abula said I lost weight. But when I came home, my sister said I put on weight. Damn. But I still continued to eat my chwee kueh.

Gonna go off now! TIRED. Need some sleep. Was deprived on the plane due to those big asses. Grrrrrrrr. Don't want to talk about it. NIGHT PEOPLE! =)

Nostalgia

Reading a certain person's blog post for the 2nd time makes me feel nostalgic about my old cell.

I miss the patient pisangs a hell lot. BUT people, it's not because of a certain CG leader in the cell, but because I really miss the fun that I/we had last year.

Being a CG leader is something very different from being a leader somewhere else. It involves alot of time and commitment, not to say that I can't do those, just that it can be draining at times. Being a passenger in the cell last year made it easier for me to really enjoy myself. But well, guess that there're always pros and cons in leading and not leading a cell.

Being a leader, I get to aim people to pray (which I don't really like to do in public =p) and grow spiritually etc. Being a passenger, I always "kenna" aimed. But well, being a passenger, I did contribute to the cell by being the birthday coordinator (no idea why I took this role, maybe because I just love to plan stuff..).

Anyway, back to feeling nostalgic.

Last Sunday, we met up for a Pisang's Reunion at Royal Garden for dimsum, even though not all were free to come, but somehow I felt a sense of warmth and homeliness. Awww, that feeling's SO GOOD!

Meeting the Pisang's once again (as a cell) made me feel sad about disbanding. I just don't understand why must we change cell group EVERY YEAR. It's like we just got so close together and the next moment we're gonna say goodbye. ='(

Regardless, the Pisang's spirit will carry on in our lives. Even though there're many nationalities (actually only Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China) within the cell, I believe that we'll keep in touch. But not as frequent as we used to, that's definite.

You'll be deeply missed.

NEWBIES!

Yesterday was computer day! By coincidence, I got lotsa computer-ish stuff. I was always complaining about backaches and stuff, then I realised that my posture wasn't straight when I used the computer. So I got this Notebook stand and additional keyboard for greater comfort when using the pc.

Alto Express Notebook Stand

Ultra-Flat Keyboard

Coincidentally, we went to Joo's place for dinner, he had lotsa monitors to give away! Ok, not lots, but 2. So I took one. Have been wanting to get a monitor, but since I'm gonna be here till October only, so I decided not to get, cos it'll be very troublesome to bring it back to Singapore.

But now I have this chance, I just grabbed it! Its not some flat screen LCD of course, it's those old kinda monitor that desktops usually comes with. But well, intend to do some decoration to make it more... homely. Haha!

Awwwww... Just love my new tech stuff. =p

Last but not least, Happy 5th Month Anniversary Baby!!

Goodbye Cash

It's official. My car's gearbox is spoilt! So I have to replace it with a 2nd hand gearbox which would cost around A$1,300? Damn it. If only my dad allowed me to get a better car in the first place. I wouldn't go through so many days without the car, spending additional money on the car and I could sell the better car for more $.

I should've known better than to pick the exact same car my family had 5 or 6 years ago. The same problem happened to our previous car, there must be something wrong with the gearbox for all Honda Civics made in 1993!

Well, guess I don't have much choice. The mechanic hasn't called me regarding the car yet. This means he hasn't been able to find a 2nd hand gearbox for me. It's almost a week without the car and I'm dying.

Oh Lord, I pray for my car to return to me safe and soundly, without creating a very big hole in my pocket. Amen.

I like..

I like the way you sleep (with your mouth open).
I like the way you eat (with your mouth open).
I like the way you sayang me to sleep.
I like the way you nag at me not to eat indomee.
I like the way you look when you play the guitar.
I like the way you pray.
I like the way you engage in argumentative conversations with me.
I like the way you smile with your head tilted (like a dog).
I like the way you plan surprises for me (even though all fails).
I like the way you buy things that will make my day.
I like the way you carry my groceries.
I like the way you guai guai sit at the sofa to watch tv so that I can type this entry.

There are many things that I like about you, but nothing beats me loving you. =)

I love you loads my GuitarHero.

Love,
NagNoStop Machine

='(

my car broke down on Toorak Road. How great. Traffic there is well known-ed heavy. BLEAH. There goes $$ down the drain. Until now I haven't really got a clue what's wrong with the car. But I pray that I won't cost much.

Anyway, on a happier note, I got IT! My Speedy 30! I compared prices with the one here and Singapore and found out that Singapore's cheaper. HOWEVER, I forgot that I'm going back to Singapore soon! So I can claim tax in the Melbourne airport. MUAHAHAHA *evil laughter* So in the end, after tax, buying from Melbourne is cheaper. =p

Enough of bag-talk, I've uploaded photos that I've been wanting to, but lazy to do so. RuO's japanese pancake! WOOHOO!

Buying!

I have decided! To buy the Speedy instead of the Bayswater. Bayswater is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. So yeah, maybe I'll just get a Mulberry wallet from the airport on the way back to Melbourne. I might get, if the price is appealing. Gosh, spending so much money when I haven't even started working!

Ok, I promise I'll work next semester. But then again, I believe that the money earned will be spent on such luxurious goods again. -_-''' Please stop my urge to buy designer stuff! But well, probably it's just me. =)

Well, I know that this might invite lots of gossips like from people (assuming close friends) "haven't even work yet want to buy so many designer stuff", I would like to address this issue by saying that there are more girls who are WORSE THAN ME. And yes, I have this addiction of buying such expensive stuff, but I don't buy them every month. Like Dennis will spend alot of money on his musical equipment as well (oops!), just that why people won't think of saying others but want to say me cos I spend my money on "useless" items such as designer bags. BLEAH. Wake up!

Doesn't it make you feel good when you buy something that you really like as a gift to pamper yourself from all the tedious and time consuming projects that you've done. Well, I like that feeling. Ahhhh... =)

DAMN IT!

Was feeling rather bored today, so I decided I should surf the internet. BUT, what is there to surf? Goodbyes to the over clicked Facebook and Friendster. I began to surf for designer stuff.

And now I have cravings for SO MANY BAGS!

I want a Mulberry and a Louis Vuitton, but I can only afford 1. How? Which should I get?

Mulberry Bayswater £495

LV Speedy 30 £325

It's in £ because I can't get the S$ nor A$ for it. HOW??? The price difference is GIGANTIC! =(

Cell Outing!

We went for our first ever cell outing (other than dinner) on Saturday! Unfortunately, not all were able to come but we still had 12 members there! (my cell's 18 strong!)

Well, enough said. Let the pictures do the talking. =)

Famous for their Tea and Scones, I decided to have our 1st ever cell outing at Mt Dandenong's Miss Marples!

Their Jam was the BOMB! I loved it! Going back for more. =)

Toys, toys and more toys! I just love to see toys every where!

While waiting for the rest (we had to sit in different tables as there were too many), we girls decided to play around in the toy shop. =p

And guess what I saw? SHAUN THE SHEEP!

Continued walking around (cos the rest were SO SLOW) the area. It's a very nice place.

Found this GIGANTIC doll house in this store called "Smits and Bits". The dolls look eerie!

Haha. No comments for this! It's just too funny! =p

As usual, me being very "bo liao" did this kinda stuff.

Headed to Olinda and saw this store selling very artsy stuff, like animals made of zinc?

Last but not least, my cell members (the girls only).

Was too lazy to photoshop more photos, so it ends here. Hee! Stevo's birthday follows Mt Dandy, but my battery died, so no photos! =(

Anyway, that's all for now. Stay tuned for more posts in the future. =)
