the end is near...

Finally, after 2 years in Melbourne, I'm finally heading home, to the place that I should be, but not want to be.

Living in Melbourne for these 2 years has changed my life tremendously. I've begun to be more independent, responsible, but lazier. I've gotta know many friends whom I'll miss when I'm gone. Too many memories reside here, but well, at least I get to take a part of Melbourne back to Singapore with me.

Thinking back when I first arrived, I actually regretted my decision for pursuing a higher degree. I was homesick and felt very void. But, time does tell, Melbourne's the best place to be.

Snowboarding, shopping, slacking, sipping lattes, Pacific House, hanging out with the girls... Ahhhhh... I'm SO gonna miss.

Singapore is gonna mark a new chapter in my life. Work-life challenges. I always tell myself to not waste my time away resting at home despite being tired after work. But I have a feeling, that I'm gonna waste my time sleeping, hoping to get a bailout from my debts of sleep.

Oh gosh, I'm actually scaring myself.

Anyway, going back to Singapore means 1 thing. Holiday beckons! I'll be heading to HK for a massive shopping trip! LV, Prada, Chanel, here I come!

Nah! Just joking. My dad doesn't print money.

Ok, ran out of things to talk about.

Lastly, congrats on your graduation Jem! *go jemmi go! hey hey!"

Can't beat the heat.

I thought that I was hallucinating. Gosh, it's for real, I see heat waves everywhere. On the way back, there was this clinic for skin cancer that shows the temperature at that particular time. It read, 40 degrees. I was stunned. I knew it was very hot, but not THAT HOT.

I was literally melting. The sun was burning my thighs despite the windows all wound up. It feels like summer, but is it really summer? I thought spring just came. Hmmm~

Gosh, I hope Singapore's cooler than this. This is KILLING ME.

3 more weeks!

Time passes SO FAST. I'll be gone for good in just 3 weeks.

Goodbye Clayton, goodbye Glen Waverley, goodbye Chadstone, Chapel Street, Bridge Road, Bourke Street Mall, Smith Street .....

My gosh, I'm starting to miss Melbourne.

26 More Days!

Oh my... Oh my!

26 more days!

I'm slowly packing my stuff already. Packing all the "unwanted" stuff into my luggage and guess what? It's FULL. And I forgot to pack the wine in the luggage.. Now I have to dig more space. All that are in the luggage are not clothes, there's my guitar heroes, alot of photo frames, all my PS2 games, all the misc body products, shoes etc.

Now there's no space for the leftover clothes I have in Melbourne. The family already bagged 2 china bags back for me and now another china bag's FULL of clothes (that I have here). And I still have more clothes! I hope my countryroad bag is big enough to fill the last of the last. DAMN!

In that case, I have 1 luggage, 2 china bags, 1 countryroad to check in. 1 small luggage and my laptop bag for handcarry. Excluding my gigantic neverfull.

I think the neverfull will be full this time round. =p

Many many...

Finally cleared my room. Gosh, there are so many things that I have! Hate it when I have to pack. Well, trying to sell most of my stuff that I've bought over the years. Mainly heaters, mattress, shelves, clothes rack, rice cooker, ironing board and iron ................ So many.

Things that need to be sold! Including my car. =)

Well, I don't think there's a need to tell anyone when I took my stuff to sell. Right?

Afterall, it's been there for peoples' usage for quite awhile.

Singapura, oh Singapura~

The family has left Melbourne. It's gonna be my turn soon, counting down 27 days. Gonna be leaving this place for good, not really sad, but I'm gonna miss all the things I've done here, all my friends I've made here, all the memories created here.

But definitely not the food. HAHA!

Speaking of which, I've already written down 50 things I should "chiong" for when I reach Singapore. This is gonna be a foodie post. =p

1. Prawn noodle soup
2. Hokkien Mee
3. Chicken Rice
4. Economical Beehoon (for breakfast)
5. Roti Prata (for supper)
6. Chwee Kueh (for breakfast)
7. Chee Cheong Fun (for breakfast)
8. Bah Chor Mee
9. Roast Pork and BBQ Pork Rice
10. Char Kway Teow

This is just 10 of it, imagine 40 more?! And each of the 10 has 2 or 3 different locations. I think I'll be a long long time before I can finish all the 50 or 100 odd hawker food! =p

Ok, back to Melbourne. Gonna have a girls' outing sometime next week. Have a feeling it'll be the last time that all of us (except Bel) will be meeting up. Maybe a few for some shopping or lunch dates before I leave for good on the 30th. Sure am gonna miss all of them. For the Singaporeans, we'll definitely meet again. But for the Malaysians, it's gonna be tough. Either they come down to Singapore, or I fly back to Melbourne (cos they'll be staying here).

Flying back to Melbourne is expensive, so I think you all come down to Singapore ok? HAHA!
