All about my precious Gem.

Guess what! I just got out of the shower! So it means that I have something random that I want to blog about! =p

Ok, this post is gonna be very mushy, so either you armour yourself with some anti-love lotion or just drown yourself in this proclamation of love.

As I was bathing, a thought came to my head.

"OMG, I love Jem alot."

Like really ALOT. But he always claims that he loves me more than I do (what crap! =p).

I know that I may not be the best girlfriend that he has ever had (please correct me if I'm wrong), but he is definitely the best that I could ever ask for.

He cooks.
He cleans.
He's generous.
His ambitions are aligned with mine.
He takes really good care of me.
He gives in most of the time.
He makes me laugh.
And even makes me cry.

I couldn't ask for more.

Always boasting to people how he saved my life at Mt Buller 2 years ago and that I owe him my life (so I have to marry him) to cooking countless fabulous meal to satisfy the many cravings that I have. This guy really takes the cake.

Even though I sold myself for a packet of fries (A$2.50?) and cut myself short by telling him that 0.75 carat is enough (but I still think 1 carat is beautiful). Nothing in this world can ever buy this precious gem of mine.

I love you darling, I always will.

Happy countless days anniversary.

(while writing this post, I wonder if he remembers to buy my mcnuggets meal. hmmm. =/)

Italiano? No?

I just watched Julie and Julia the movie and it inspired me to do the same.

Just that I do not have time to cook everyday as I no longer knock off at 5pm starting 4th January 2010. Crap. =/

HOWEVER, I will try to make it a habit to cook once a week over the weekend. This is definitely going to be an expensive hobby. If only I had sponsors. *hint hint*

But I'm not going to cook french, I'll cook italian. It's quite amusing how much I love italian food but yet I want to go to France more than Italy. Ok, LV and Chanel plays a huge part. =D But for dessert, I'd really love to learn the french way.

Other than that, I want to get in touch with my roots and learn the peranakan cuisine. I have to speak to my great grandmother, but I highly doubt I'll understand a single word she says - it's either hokkien or melayu. Crap. =/

I'm kinda excited and I wonder what should I prepare this weekend. I already have something in mind, but my dad doesn't like pasta. Crap. =/ It's so hard to satisfy everybody. I myself have fussy tastebuds.

Ooohh... I want to be able to cook so well that I can write my own cookbook.

Hahahaha.

Dream on.

OMFT! >|

Oh my freaking toot!

I have to pay a bond of S$1,700+! ARGH. This is ridiculous! But it's still better than staying in this shit hole till end April. Imagine my opportunity cost! I'll just treat it as I was only paid $400+ this month to chat on msn and surf the internet.

How on earth am I gonna buy a Mulberry for my birthday & CNY? Sadness to the bones. I really have to save ALOT. Plus my trip next month? It's not really working. I am officially broke. I need to dig up my savings already. Wait, I have no savings! AHHHHHHHHHH..... Kill meeeeeeeeeeee.........

Chubby buns, can you support me pleaseeeeeeee??

Okay, I shouldn't be pessimisstic. I'm gonna have a great job that pays me much better than the current one. The bonus that I get from the next company might even land me a gorgeous Chanel bag. (ok, I'm kidding, I'll save it...)

Chubby buns, don't blame me, but today during work, as I had nothing much to do, (most of my clients are DIY internet traders, so they usually DIY), I went blog surfing again. I came across a blog and it inspired me to want to go to the Philippines for a holiday! In Manila!

Well, some how Philippines has never been a place that most Singaporeans considered going. It's always Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong etc. I have no idea why. But looking at the photos, the scenery, the shopping, the beach... Ahhhhhh, I want to organise the group to go for a holiday there!

I'll leave Japan for just the 2 of us for Jan 2011 ok? =D

So I guess that means I have something to do tomorrow! Find out more about Manila! Things to do, when's the best time to go, weather, food, transportation. I think it's a pity I don't own a travel agency. I bet I'll do a great job at organising these kinda holiday. =D

Anyway, since we're talking about Philippines, I happen to visit a filipino restaurant a few months back. It was my first time trying filipino cuisine and I tell you, IT IS GOOD! Maybe chubby buns and I will go there one day and I will take a few shots of the gorgeous and sumptous meal we had there. =) Oh, it's at Kelok Ayer. Can't remember the name though. But I know how to go there. Hehe... I think it's the name of some filipino revolutionary person. Can't remember! AHHHHH... My failing memory...

Ok enough of the crap, I'm gonna buy some granny smiths for this wednesday. I'm gonna bake Apple Muffins! WOOT WOOT..

Oooh

2 more weeks! Or rather 8.5 more working days to my long awaited holiday. No, I'm not going anywhere, just gonna take the time off and slack at home to prepare myself for the next year.

I'm so excited on what next year brings. I'm sure there'll definitely be lots of stuff to be written in my life book.

First of it all will be my highly anticipated trip of course! =p

Anyway, time to slack and watch some tv before I sleep.

I really really really need a holiday.

I'm so excited about the trip, this is probably the only trip that I've actually made an effort to research so thoroughly. I even planned a 6D5N itinerary by the hour!

Anyway, so fast and it's this time of the year again. Christmas is coming and it's making my bones all excited. Too bad there's no snow in Singapore, otherwise it'll be perfect! =D How I wish that someday, I can spend Christmas in New York, where it's cold and snowy. When I'm still young and energetic, not mentioning still able to withstand the cold. =p

And after Christmas, it's my *ahem* 21st (again) birthday! But too bad I'll be starting a new job and might not be able to take the day off. Sigh. But I was thinking, should I throw a party? Or probably just a simple bbq? But I feel that I'm too old for birthday parties, and it's quite troublesome to have a party as my house isn't big enough to accommodate so many people. I'll see how.

Then after my birthday, it's Chinese New Year! WOOHOO. Don't you love those red packets? I wonder if I have enough money to buy myself a new bag for CNY! I'm thinking of getting the Mulberry Bayswater and I just found a new boutique in Takashimaya! It'll be really great to have more Takashimaya vouchers ;) *hint hint*

And after that, it's anticipating for December again. Sigh.

Ok, back to reality. Gotta sleep early for work tomorrow. SIGHS.

Night peeps!

I feel as if I just came back from Melbourne. Haha! Deprived of my local fare.

Slacker

Hi there!

The slacker is back!

And back with a motive!

I'm gonna start baking again! After months and months of not baking, thanks to that SOMEONE who got me so pissed in April, I decided to bake again. But this time, for my loved ones.

Today's experiment is Nigella's Chocolate Fudge Cake. You can get the recipe by googling it.

Well, it didn't turn out really right. It's too soft! I probably added too much water. Recipe wrote 300ml chilled water, but I think 50% could be enough. Will try again another day. Ingredients aren't that cheap in Singapore.

Another thing, I've accidentally added 50gm more cocoa powder. I was hoping it won't taste too chocolatey, but it turned out really nice! =)

I thought that it'll be an epic failure, but thank God, it looks great. =D

How I wish I were Nigella.
