Yet another day goes by...

This is the 10th day in Dubai and I guess I'm adapting well.

It's still kinda difficult to take care of little Annie and cook at the same time, but I guess it's still manageable.

Other than the usual KFC and McDonalds, there are MANY takeaways here at very affordable prices. But KFC is always very tempting, especially when a 3 piece meal costs only AED20 (equiv S$7).

But still, home cooked food is the best. Gonna attempt to cook dinner for hubs tonight - chicken, fish and vegetable.

Home search is still under process. Awaiting the agent to send documents before we are able to give a 5% deposit to secure the rent. It's very troublesome, and risk of someone else snatching the apartment is high. But I guess this is better than getting rental scam, especially for us who are new in the country.

Hope everything goes well soon and we can move into our new place by mid January!

Merry Christmas!

Ho ho ho! It's that time of the year again!

It's quite sad that I will be spending my Christmas away from family this year. But well, at least I have my hubby and little Annie with me this Christmas! =)

Have gone house hunting for the past 2 days.

One of the apartments that we've seen yesterday had this view:

Too bad we were not fast enough. Someone had offered a higher price. ='(

Oh well, may God bless us with a nice and affordable house.

Hello from Dubai!

And so, the family have arrived in Dubai.

Actually, this is already the 3rd day in Dubai. This place reminds me of Melbourne somehow.

Had a Christmas gathering yesterday at B&G's and gotta meet a number of Singaporeans who had relocated in Dubai.

Thank goodness I'm not feeling homesick (or at least not yet). Just hope to find an apartment soon so that we can settle down quickly. I miss my furniture! I hope they will arrive here safely. =)

Well, now that I'm a SAHM, I really hope that I'm able to do something good out of it. Other than the taking care of baby aspect of course.

Perhaps during my time in Dubai, I will be able to find out more of myself (now that I don't need to study nor work) and maybe the things that I do during my free time can be a good business venture?

First and foremost, I gotta settle little Annie's meals. She's turned 6 months today!

 

I'm gonna start her on solids (for the first time) tonight. But will only be giving her rice cereals for a start. She has been salivating every time she sees J and I having our meals. Heehee.

Ok, gotta go now! Haven't been blogging in awhile hence I do not have much to say.
