Yet another day goes by...

This is the 10th day in Dubai and I guess I'm adapting well.

It's still kinda difficult to take care of little Annie and cook at the same time, but I guess it's still manageable.

Other than the usual KFC and McDonalds, there are MANY takeaways here at very affordable prices. But KFC is always very tempting, especially when a 3 piece meal costs only AED20 (equiv S$7).

But still, home cooked food is the best. Gonna attempt to cook dinner for hubs tonight - chicken, fish and vegetable.

Home search is still under process. Awaiting the agent to send documents before we are able to give a 5% deposit to secure the rent. It's very troublesome, and risk of someone else snatching the apartment is high. But I guess this is better than getting rental scam, especially for us who are new in the country.

Hope everything goes well soon and we can move into our new place by mid January!

Merry Christmas!

Ho ho ho! It's that time of the year again!

It's quite sad that I will be spending my Christmas away from family this year. But well, at least I have my hubby and little Annie with me this Christmas! =)

Have gone house hunting for the past 2 days.

Too bad we were not fast enough. Someone had offered a higher price. ='(

Oh well, may God bless us with a nice and affordable house.

Hello from Dubai!

And so, the family have arrived in Dubai.

Actually, this is already the 3rd day in Dubai. This place reminds me of Melbourne somehow.

Had a Christmas gathering yesterday at B&G's and gotta meet a number of Singaporeans who had relocated in Dubai.

Thank goodness I'm not feeling homesick (or at least not yet). Just hope to find an apartment soon so that we can settle down quickly. I miss my furniture! I hope they will arrive here safely. =)

Well, now that I'm a SAHM, I really hope that I'm able to do something good out of it. Other than the taking care of baby aspect of course.

Perhaps during my time in Dubai, I will be able to find out more of myself (now that I don't need to study nor work) and maybe the things that I do during my free time can be a good business venture?

First and foremost, I gotta settle little Annie's meals. She's turned 6 months today!

 

I'm gonna start her on solids (for the first time) tonight. But will only be giving her rice cereals for a start. She has been salivating every time she sees J and I having our meals. Heehee.

Ok, gotta go now! Haven't been blogging in awhile hence I do not have much to say.

It's been awhile

Reading my past posts gave me shivers down my spine.

Why was I such a nag, why was I so mushy? Omgosh can't believe it!

Time passed so quickly. During that time when I last posted on my blog, I was a young girl, waiting impatiently to be married.

Now, I'm a wife of a fabulous husband, and a mother to a very adorable child.

Cant believe these all happened within the span of 2 years?

And in 2 weeks time, we will be heading on to another continent, somewhere fresh and new - Dubai.

I can't wait to see what Dubai will bring.

Oh, hello!

Haven't really been blogging the past year. Don't really have time to blog or even think of blogging (except today). So today shall be an exception.

This is crazy. The last time I blogged was like 5th June? Well, didn't understand why i had the time to blog then as well - I've been very busy for the past year.

Falling ill has become my forte, the ventilation in the office is bad. But then again, I think my immune system is bad as well. Unhealthy eating and living. Not enough exercise - causes of my high cholesterol. Maybe I should bake more but eat less of that. Baking relieves all the stress!

Lots of money to save now. Wanna go for holidays (big temptation), but thinking of the house, ROM ceremony and wedding, this takes up alot of my savings, if not, all.

Once in a lifetime affair, I really want it to be nice and memorable, from the day I sign the papers to the day I walk down the aisle. But is it really efficient and cost effective to hold both seperately? If only my family was in the money printing business.

So many things on my mind. He thinks I'm rushing to plan. Really?

It's been a very tiring week at work, but thankfully I'm coping well. Hope that everything will go well and I will get whatever I hope to get.

hello again!

it's been a long long time since i've updated my blog. frankly speaking, i almost forgot that this space of mine existed! but well, fortunately, i remembered. and i also remembered i have a twitter account! but i've forgotten the password, again. so nevermind, if you intend to follow me, don't bother.

anyway, life has been revolving around work, love, family and friends. but i guess more so it's work. 5 days a week, 845am - 845pm or even later (sometimes earlier lah, my job isn't THAT bad). i spend more time at work than i do at home! i wonder if i'm inefficient or under paid. i'd love to think the former, at least i won't feel pissed every time i work! but well i guess this is a phase that i have to go through in life.

okay, enough of work. i'm on leave tomorrow! going to collect my passport and hopefully a massage session. would really love to go shopping! but i have lots of bills to clear this month and i'm supposed to save $$ for my golf clubs. argh! i wanna buy clothes!

love is currently addicted to this stupid game called "angry birds" on iphone. initially it was this ice cream game called "ice tycoon". well maybe that's because he can't beat me in ice tycoon. WAHAHAHA. the most could go is only level 22 though. after that it's too confusing already!

ok i think i'm gonna help love play his stage 3-5.

I WANNA SCREAM!

The past 2 days have been freaking boring. I didn't have much to do except sleep. Thank God Abula was there on Saturday night to keep me company for 4 hours. But those 4 hours were really very precious. =)

Anyway I wanted to go shopping over the weekend, but I didn't really have mood to do so. After facial on Saturday, I walked around Orchard for 2 hours, frantically looking for something to buy. In the end, I bought a Kate Spade credit card holder (yes, I have too many cards!) and a pair of flats that I think is damn awesome (but no idea if I can wear it to work on Mon-Thurs)!

Sunday is totally shit. I had absolutely nothing to do - other than sleeping. Wanted to go out with friends but they weren't free. Even that stupid Tong "fong fei gei" dinner.

ARGHHHH..

Life without Jem is seriously boring.
